He was born Dec. 17, 1944, in Bad Axe to Minnie (O'Parka) Bismack and the late Robert Bismack. He never married. LaVerne was a graduate of Ubly High School. He lived and worked in Minden City and worked on the family farm. He was a lifelong member of St. Mary Catholic Church of Parisville. He enjoyed cars, sports, euchre, crossword puzzles and was an avid Tiger fan. LaVerne is survived by his mother, Minnie Bismack of Minden City; two brothers, Thaddeus "Ted" and his wife, Dorothy, of Henderson, S.C. and Robert and his wife, Diana, of Saginaw; seven nieces and nephews. The funeral mass for LaVerne Bismack will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, June, 21, 2002, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Parisville. The Rev. Charles Hammond, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. There will be a parish vigil service at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Smigielski Funeral Home in Minden City. Visitation is from 1:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home and from 9 to 10 a.m. on Friday at the church. Memorials requested to the Family Discretionary Fund.
