He had been a patient there for several weeks. Mr. Flynn was born Jan. 1899 in Flynn township and spent his entire life in this community. He was a veteran of World War I serving in the Quartermaster corps. After his discharge from the Army he worked as a carpentar in the area. He was united in marriage to Miss Fern Deiss, March 20, 1926, in Sullivan, Ind., and their home has sice been in Elk and Flynn townships. Besides his widow, he is survived by his mother, Mrs. John Blatt, near Peck, four sisters, Mrs. Guy Stocks and Mrs. Herbert Hill, both of Maple Valley township, Mrs. John Pedrotti, Peck, and Mrs. Gordon Cruickshank, Port Huron; and a brother, John Blatt, Jr., Peck. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the home of his mother, Rev. John Fitzgerald officiating. Burial was in Elk township cemetery where military services were conducted in charge of Peck Post No. 489 American Legion. dz
