Timothy Brian Hanselman
October 23, 1953 – September 3, 1999
Timothy Brian Hanselman, 43, of Carsonville, died Friday, September 3, 1999, at 
his home in Carsonville.  He Was born October 23, 1953 in Sandusky, son of 
Melvin and Marilyn (Geyer) Hanselman.  He married Karen Lang on August 3, 1974 
in Palms.  He was a lifelong area resident and a member of St. Joseph Catholic 
Church, Sandusky.  He was a 1973 graduate of Ubly High School.  Tim was a 
Michigan High School Association Referee, and enjoyed bowling, golf and boating. 

Surviving are his wife, Karen; two sons, Jeffery Hanselman and friend, Audrey, 
of Sandusky, and Andrew Hanselman of Carsonville; a daughter, Kendra Hanselman 
of Carsonville; his mother, Marilyn, and step-father, Robert Lautner of Bad Axe; 
grandmother, Ida Geyer of Forestville; father-in-lawa nd : mother-in-law, Donald 
and Marie Lang, of Palms; a brother, Gregory Hanselman and friend, Connie, of 
Lexington; and three sisters, Holly (Marcus) Essenmacher of Ruth, Melody (John) 
Frankowski of Cass City, and Dr. Laurey Hanselman and friend, Larry, of Mason.  
He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Hanselman. 

Funeral services were held Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sandusky.  Fr. 
R.K. LaFleur officiated.  Burial was in the Greenwood St. Joseph Cemetery in 
Sandusky.  Pallbearers were Kenny Essenmacher, Damon Essenmacher, Rick 
Hanselman, Dennis Hanselman, Dereck Leppek and Lee Christopher Wendt.  
Arrangements were handled by the Marsh Funeral Chapel, Sandusky.  Memorials 
requested to the family.  Published Minden City Herald Thursday September 9,
