Francis J. (Duke) Krumenaker Sr.

Francis J. (Duke) Krumenaker Sr., 76, of Sandusky, died Saturday, Dec. 26, 
2009 at Sanilac Medical Care Facility in Sandusky.

He was born June 29, 1933 in Argyle, the son of the late Ernest and Clara 
(Pulcer) Krumenaker.

He was a lifelong area resident and graduate of the Argyle School, and member 
of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sandusky.

Francis was a lifetime farmer and livestock hauler.

He married Violet Tough on Jan. 15, 1966. She died on May 11, 1990, he then 
married Deloris (Norton) Soule on Feb. 16, 1991.

He is survived by his wife Deloris; sons, Patrick and Robin Krumenaker of 
Sandusky and Francis Jr. and Margaret Krumenaker of Ubly; stepsons, Paul and 
Robin Soule of Sandusky, Don Soule of Sandusky, and Jim Soule of Sandusky; 
stepdaughters, Roxanne and Robert Hacker of Jeddo, Karen Swartzendruber of 
Elkton, Nancy Haag of Snover, Geraldine and David Kramer of Deckerville, and 
Caroline and Dave Baar of Walker; brothers, Eugene Krumenaker of Argyle, and 
Walter Krumenaker of Imlay City; sisters, Eileen Brandenburg of Marysville, 
and Grace Krumenaker of Royal Oak; two grandchildren; 28 step-grandchildren; 
and 24 step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Wilfred; and sisters, Marion Krumenaker 
and Rose Krumenaker.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009 at 
Marsh Funeral Chapel, Sandusky with Fr. Charles Hammond officiating.

Visitation will be conducted from 2 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday and from 10 to 11 
a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the St. Ignatius 
Cemetery in Argyle.
