Eileen was born May 3, 1927 in Ruth to the late Anthony and Julia (Glaza) Schumacher. She married Herman Pelot on Jan. 22, 1946 at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Ruth. He preceded her in death Jan. 30, 1965. She was a graduate of the Minden City High School. She worked at Clements Wire & Cable and the Minden City Sign Factory. She was a parishioner at St. Mary Catholic Church in Parisville, where she was a member of the St. Mary Rosary Sodality and the St. Mary Senior Citizens. She enjoyed word searches and game shows. She truly enjoyed visiting with family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Eileen is survived by her children, Steve Pelot and his wife, Lucille, of Minden City; Julie Shuart and her husband, Cecil, of Bad Axe, Dale Pelot of Minden City; five grandchildren, Pam (Eric) Bowerman, Lynn (Brian) Hooper, David Shuart, Donna (Mike) Howes, Renee (Brad) Dubs; eight great-grandchildren, Chelsea and Zack Bowerman, Kyle and Devin Hooper, Haylee and Melana Howes, Hayden and Isabella Dubs; one sister, Virginia Kroetsch of Minden City; one sister-in-law, Mary Ann Schumacher of Kinde; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Schumacher and his wife, Audrey, Melvin Schumacher; three sisters, Eleanor Bismack and her husband, Albert, Betty Lou Schumacher, infant JoAnne Schumacher; one brother-in-law, Wilfred Kroetsch; three sisters-in-law, Agnes Erdman and her husband, Harold, Gertrude Peruski and her husband, Lawrence, Monica Pletta and her husband, Joseph. Per Eileen’s wishes, cremation will take place. A memorial mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2011 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Parisville. The Rev. Peter Nwokoye, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in the spring. Visitation with the family will be from 10:30-11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Church only.
