Last Services for Grandfather of 60

Funeral services were held at the Gagetown Nazarene Church Monday at 2 p.m. for
Robert Wilson, 82, who died of a stroke Friday at his home after a week's
illness.  The Rev. Russell Stanlely officiated.
Mr. Wilson was born April 23, 1877, in Sanilac County.  In 1929 he married
Stella Blakely and lived in this area for 35 years.
Surviving are his wife; five daughters, Mrs. Lloyd Gray of Rochester, Mrs. Elmer
Rondo, Mrs. Robert Snyder, Mrs. Lloyd Rondo, all of Caro, and Mrs. Lester Smith
of Taylor; eight sons, The Rev. Lloyd Wilson of Cass City, Roy and Robert, both
of Rochester, Ira of Caro, Neil of Pontiac, James of Caro, Woodrow of heonix,
Arizona, and and George of Gagetown; one stepbrother, Arthur VanAllen of Flint;
60 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
Wilson's body was taken from the Hunter Funeral Home to the church to lie in
state for two hours before the funeral.  Burial ws in Elmwood Cemetery.
