Daily News - Record - Sault Ste. Marie, MI. November 1, 1902
OWOSSO - The fund for the purchase of a monument to be placed over the grave 
of Ellen May Tower, the civil war nurse has grown to $300.  The latest 
contributor is Gov. Bliss, who has contributed $50.  All the G.A.R. Posts in 
the country have been appealed to in the hope of raising the required $500.
