DIED IN 30 MINUTES

An Old Man Fell From a Straw Stack, Causing Heart Trouble

Vernon, July 31 (Special) This morning at 7:30 o'clock, while working on a 
straw stack at John Davis' near town, Hiram Brown, aged eighty years, fell to 
the ground.  The shock produced heart trouble, and although everything 
possible was done for his relief, he was unable to rally and died in twenty 
minutes time. Mr Brown was one of the pioneers of the county having been a 
resident of this township for sixty years. He was a member of the 
Congregational Church and a very prominent Odd Fellow.
