A sister, Clarissa M Danforth, (born September 1838 at Palermo), married Francis A Aurnger 1851 at Oswego; thus their children were double cousins with Lydia and Abner's children. Lydia married Abner F. Aur​inger sometime between 1866/1867 at Oswego, NY.​ The couple had 2 daughters: Esther (born April 2, 1867 Oswego, NY, married Charles H Huff, died November 2, 1949 Los Angeles, California) and Nettie B (born March 1874 Oswego, married Pulaski Cooper December 15, 1890 Windsor, Essex, Ontario, Canada, died 1936 at Hazleton, Shaswassee, Michigan). Abner had been first married in 1851 to Charlotte Kenyon (1832-1865) and they had six children: Sarah M (1851-1917), Imogene (b.1855), Charles (1857-1860), John Frank (b. 1859), William V (born 1860, twin to Charlotte) and Charlotte (1860-1924). Found Lydia in the 1850 census living at Palermo, Oswego, NY: Marshall Groff 46, Catharine Danforth 46, George Danforth 21, William Danforth 29, Lydia Ann Danforth 17, Mathew Danforth 14, Clarissa Danforth 10, Esther Danforth 8, Mercenus Danforth 3. Found in the 1870 census living at West Monroe, Oswego, New York: Abner Auringer 45, Lydia Auringer 36, Frank Auringer 11, William Auringer 9, Charlotte Auringer 9, Esther Auringer 3. Found in the 1880 census at Central Square, Oswego, NY: Abner Orenger 55, Lyda Orenger 48, William Orenger 19, Ester Orenger 13, Metta (Nettie) Orenger 6. Found in the 1900 census at District 86, Hazelton, Shiawassee, Michigan: Abner Auringer 75, Lidda Auringer 17, Thomas J Wilson 70, Rosella (Auringer) Wilson 65. Lydia​ Ann Danforth Auringer died December 9, 1901 at H​azelton, Shiawassee, M​ ichigan and was buried at the Elmwood Cemetery, New Lothrop, Shiawassee, Michigan.
