Died on Friday evening Sept. 19th 1890 of Consumption, Harriet MORRIS, beloved
wife of Samuel S. MORRIS, aged 66? years.  Her funeral was held at North Newburg
on Monday Sept. 22nd.  Elder VanDORN of Vernon preached a very able discourse. 
She was buried in the cemetery at North Newburg.  Mrs. MORRIS was the mother of
one child, a son, who survives her; in all the cares and perplexities of life,
she always maintained a true patient Christian spirit, and always a wise
conservative and guide.  It is a source of much comfort to us, her child and
husband, though our bleeding hearts refuse to be comforted, to know that she has
gone where the weary rest.  Mrs. M. was born at Scarburough?, Canada in the year
1824, where she lived with her parents until, at the age of nine years, she
removed with her parents to Niagara county, New York, where she lived until the
year 1848? where[sic] she was married to Samuel S. MORRIS of the same place,
where they remained until 1863? when they moved to North Newburg, where they
lived up to the time of Mrs. MORRIS' death.
   The family desire to express their heartfelt thanks to the neighbors and
friends, and especially to Mr. GODFREY the undertaker.  Also Mrs. MOORE, but for
the floral offerings and sympathy toward them through her sickness and our
bereavement.

She was a daughter of William HOUGH and Elizabeth WILLER.
Her son was Dexter H. MORRIS.
Mrs. Mary SHELDON is her sister.
