Ludwig Numerick, 87, native of Austria who came to the United States 58 years 
ago and Owosso 24 years ago, died Sunday at 12:45 P.M. at his home, 800 South 
Chipman St, victim of old age and complications after 10 days of illness.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 A.M. at the Knapp and Smith 
Funeral Home.  The body will then be taken to Forest Lawn Cemetary, Detroit for 
burial.
Mr Numerick was born in Austria November 1 1858 and married Katherine Walters 
there February 28 1886.  The couple came to the U.S. in 1888 settling first in 
Pennsylvania.  They moved to Detroit in 1911 and then to Owosso in 1922.
Surviving are six children, George of Owosso, Henry of Detroit, Adam of Oakley, 
Nicholas of Inkster, Mrs Anna Newcomb of Bancroft and Mrs W.E. Maron of Owosso; 
a brother Nicholas Numerick of Wisconsin; 23 grandchildren and 12 great 
grandchildren.  A son and a daughter preceded Mr Numerick in death.

Ludwig is my great grandfather.
