Jerome "Jerry" Edward Sigafoose
Age 64, of Owosso, passed away Friday, Febuary 28, 2003, in London, Ontario, as
the result of an accident.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 4, 2003, at St.
Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Robert D. Kolenski officiating. Burial will follow
at St. Paul Cemetery. Visitation at Nelson House Funeral Home will be today from
9:00 a.m. to 8 p.m. A Rosary will be prayed tonight at 7 p.m., with a 4th Degree
K of C service following.
Jerry was born October 11, 1938, in Owosso, the son of Patrick and Cecilia
(McCarthy) Sigafoose. He was a graduate of St. Paul High School.
On December 31, 1958, he married Suzanne Smith Ballard in Laingsburg and St.
Paul Church. Mr. Sigafoose was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. He was also
a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, a member of the Conservation
Club, and a life time member of the N.R.A.. He was a avid hunter.
Survuvors include ih wife, Suzanne; son Jerome (Marianna) Sigafoose of Owosso;
four daughters, Tamara (Bruce) Wilhelm of Battle Creek, Mary (Rick) VanAlstine
of Baraga, Michigan, Kathleen (david) Kelly of Owosso, and Patrick (William)
Mackie of Bannister; 12 grandchildren, Chris, Jon, and Reichert Kelly, Megan and
Matt Wilhelm, Michael and John Sigafoose, Tiffany Edwards, Brent VanAlstine,
Kevin Laduke, and Kristie and Erin Mackie; three great-grandchildren, Quillian,
Starr Marie and Thalia; sister Rosemary Sigafoose of Owosso; several cousins;
and exchange student Natascha Tepass of Germany.
He was preceased by his parents.
Memorial contributions may be made to Boysville of Michigan or the National
Rifle Association Institute for Legisative Action.
