Michael was born on 24 APR 1920 and died on 22 JUL 1921
Death record says he died from Anterior PolioMyelitis

Violet died on the day of her birth 8 DEC 1924
Premature birth

Additional Comments:
According to Ann Prokopenko, sister to Michael and Violet, On 8 December 1924, 
her mother had been out to the barn trying to get the chickens inside as a 
storm was coming, and as she hurried she fell and went into premature labor, 
and the baby was born dead. 

The eldest daughter, my grandmother, Irene Prokopenko who was about 13 years 
old at the time, was asked to go into town and get an outfit to bury the baby 
in, when she returned she washed and dressed her little sister for burial, as 
their mother was stricken with grief. It was just a few years earlier they had 
buried little Mike.

Irene was rocking and singing to her baby sister when their father came home. 
She said the baby looked like a little china doll, and was perfectly formed. 
Their father Timofei (Jim) and eldest son George, took the baby, still wrapped 
in the blanket, to the Pine Tree cemetery in Corunna to bury it during the 
storm. They buried the little girl at the head of Michael's grave. 

There is now a marker there for the two babies, Michael and Violet, in 
Corunna, Michigan. It is unknown if a doctor was ever notified about Violets 
death.
