This is a photo of the headstone of Samuel Short.  He was born in 1794 and 
past away in 1890, almost 100 years old.  Samuel was married to Olive Cummings 
and then Harriet Buttler.  His son George is my great-great-great 
grandfather.  Samuel is my great-great-great-great grandfather.  His daughter 
Lucinda Traynor (Short) is buried next to him and marked with a headstone.  
There is a David Short that is buried next to him, but in an unmarked grave.  
Samuel has a son David A. Hudson Short, however, he is buried in Crawford 
County, Frederic, Oakwood Cemetery.  I'm unsure who lies next to him.  
Samuel's daughter Clarinda is also buried near by.  She is married to Allen 
Porter.
