"The Christian Record", edited and published by James M Mathes, Bloomington, Indiana, I came across an obituary for Eunice Benedict, published in Vol 1 No. VII The Christian Record Bloomington, Ind., January, 1844 (p. 166 of James M Mathes' book). 
Obituary
Madison, Ind, January 7th, '44
Elder J. M. Mathes: My mother died in the State of Michigan, on the 11th of 
Sept. last: aged about 84, having been a professer of Religion from her 18th 
year. She was a member of the Regular Baptist church. Thus has departed EUNICE 
BENEDICT, who lived in a state of widowhood, from Aug 5th 1791, to the day of
