Residents of Yale were deeply shocked this morning to learn of the death of Mrs. Howard Lee, 21, which occurred in Brown City hospital at 6:15 a.m. following an automobile accident. Mr. and Mrs. Lee had just rented a home in Detroit and were returning from that city, where they had taken some furniture in their car, when the accident happened. Just before three o'clock Mr. Lee became drowsy and asked Mrs. Lee to drive. When they were about 5 1/2 miles north of Imlay City, on M-53, a rear tire blew out, causing the accident and throwing both Mr. and mrs. Lee out of the car. Mr. Lee had been asleep in the back seat. They were immediately taken to the Brown City hospital where Mrs. Lee passed away. Mr. Lee was badly scratched and bruised, but no bones were broken. Marvel Munroe, daughter of Jay Munroe, Yale, was born in Port Huron, August 16, 1914. Her parents moved to Yale, when she was very small. She attended the Yale schools and resided here until her marriage.20 Surviving are her husband, two little children, Virginia 2 1/2 years old and Jimmy 1 1/2 years old, her father, Jay Munroe, Yale, brother, Brooks, of Port Huron, grand father Lowell Munroe, grand mother, Mrs. Frank McGregory and uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ellar, all of Yale.20 As the Expositor goes to press funeral arrangements are not completed, but it is expected tht funeral services will be held in Brown City, Sunday afternoon, with burial in the Brown City cemetery. dz
