Mary Lou Bishop
"Port Huron - Mary Lou Bishop, 66, died unexpectedly Saturday, October 22, 
1994, in Hurley Medical Center in Flint.  She was born June 24, 1928 in Port 
Huron and was a lifelong resident.  She married Roy E. Bishop February 8, 1946, 
in Port Huron.  Mrs. Bishop was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a 
former member of the Legion of Mary.  Her life was dedicated to her family, her 
husband, her children and especially her beloved grandchildren and great-
grandchildren.  She is survived by her husband, Roy E. Bishop of Port Huron; 
three daughters Mr. & Mrs. Gary (Cindy) Ward of Marysville, Chris S. Kelp of 
Jackson, Cathleen M. Bishop of Port Huron; a son Mr. & Mrs. Roy (Vicki) Bishop 
of Fort Gratiot; 10 grandchildren Julie E., Jeffrey S., Gary Jr., David E. 
Christopher Lou, Roy M.,Amanda L., Katie Jo, Raymond Jr. and Matthew J.; two 
great granddaughters, Jessica E. and Jacklyn J. Haynes; her father Floyd N. 
Sturdevan of Port Huron; two sisters Mr. & Mrs. Arnold (Joan) Chickonoski and 
Mr. & Mrs. Gerald (Nancy)Burns of Port Huron; a brother, Nelson P. Sturdevan of 
Port Huron; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceeded in death by her 
mother, Helen Marie and a brother, Floyd (Sam) Sturdevan.  Services are 10:00 
a.m. Wednesday in St. Stephen's Catholic Church.  The Rev. Donald Bartone will 
officiate.  Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.  Mrs. Bishop's loving 
grandsons will serve as her pallbearers.  Visiting is 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 
to 4 and 7 to 9 Tuesday in the Pollack-Randall Funeral Home.  A scripture wake 
service will be 7:30 p.m. Tuesday."
