PETER F. "SHORTY" CZERNIAWSKI

Age 79, of China Township died Dec. 2, 1998.  Mr. Czerniawski was a veteran of 
World War II serving with the U.S. Navy.  He was retired from Chrysler 
Corporation.  He is survived by his wife, Marion; daughters, Carol Doan of 
Florida and Barbara Przybylski of East China; son, Eugene of St. Clair Township; 
two grandchildren; two step grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, 
Dolores Potrykus of St. Clair; and a brother, Anthony of Marine City.  Services 
were held in Young Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, China, with Rev. Susan Clark, 
pastor of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, St. Clair, officiating.  Burial was in 
Woodlawn Cemetery, Marine City.  Memorials can be made to the Salvation Army or 
the Disabled American Veterans.
