Visitation: 6 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Carman Funeral Home, Brown City. Times Herald, Port Huron, St. Clair County, Michigan - November 7, 1998 Obituary: James E. Hillman BROWN CITY- James E. Hillman, 56, of Brown City, died Friday, Nov. 6, 1998 in Lapeer. He was born Dec. 12, 1941 in Fremont Twp. near Yale. He graduated from Cros-Lex High School in 1960. He married Eleanor Meade on Feb. 16, 1964. He served in the United States Air Force. Jim owned and operated Hillman Heating and Cooling for 18 years. Prior to that he worked for General Motors and Porter Heckman. He attended the Brown City Missionary Church. He is survived by his wife, Ellie Hillman of Brown City; four children, J. Daniel Hillman of Brown City, Jeffrey (Kelley) Hillman of Brown City, Tonya (Thomas) Tesluck of Yale and Teresa York of Metamora; six grandchildren, Ashlee, Sarah, Samantha, Michael, Jesse and Matthew; his mother, Helena Hillman of Yale; four brother and two sisters, Robert, Herbert, William, Barbara Tenniswood, Evelyn Lohr and Bernard. A visitation will be held in the Carman Funeral Home today from 6 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Brown City Missionary Church with the Rev.
