McDONALD Port Huron Times September 7, 1988 Mr. William Wallace McDonald, 79, fo #7 Third Street, Yale, died Wednesday evening, September 7 1988 at Port Huron Hospital following a long illness. He was born October 14 1908, in Detour, Michigan the son of the former William and Anna Cooper McDonald. His Marriage to Nellie May Chrysler was in Detroit on March 9, 1935. They have lived in Yale 53 Years. Mr. McDonald was a spinner at the former Yale Woolen Mills until its closing in 1962 and later employed by Frank's Motor Home and Travco Corporation both of Brown City and retired in 1978. Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter, Phyllis Fletcher of Grand Rapids and three sons, William W. Jr. and Douglas E. both of Yale and Gary W. of Batimore, Maryland; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters Violet Adams of Livonia and Ellen Thorn of Grand Blanc and several nieces and nephews. He is preceeded in death by a brother, Roy. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Kaatz Funeral Home, Yale, with burial at Elmwood Cemetery. Rev. Donald Milano, Pastor of Yale United Methodist Church, officated. Note from Funeral announcement Port Huron Times April 18,1992 Mrs. NELLIE MAY McDONALD, 79, of #7 Third Street, Yale, died Saturday, April 18, 1992 at Port Huron Hospital following a long illness. She was born June 7, 1912 at Melvin, daughter of the former Earl and Tressa Chrysler. Her marriage to William W. McDonald was March 9, 1935 in Detroit. He died September 7, 1988. She has lived in Yale for 57 years. Mrs. McDonald was a housewife and was employed with General Telephone Company for 15 years in Yale. She was a member of Yale United Methodist Church and a lifelong member, Secretary and Past Novle Grand of Rebekah Lodge #234. Surviving is a daughter Phyllis Fletcher of Grand Rapids; sons William W. Jr. and Douglas E. both of Yale, and Gary W. of Baltimore, MD.; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; a brother Earl Chrysler of Yale and sisters Dorothy Hazzard of Yale and Hazel Smith of Sandusky and nieces and nephews. Preceding her death were brothers James, Kenneth, Robert, and a sister Delphine Dudley. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, at Kaatz Funeral Home, Yale, with burial at Elmwood Cemetery. Yale. Rev.
