 George Harvey Middleton
 
 Yale, Jan. 3 George Harvey Middleton, 95 one of the oldest residents in 
 this vicinity, died Sunday in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ethel 
 Meharg, Detroit, after a long illness.
 
 Mr. Middleton, a farmer, was born near Lakeport, Sept. 29, 1853. He had 
 lived in this vicinity all his life.20
 
 The remains are in the Bankert funeral home. Funeral services will be 
 held at the George Meharg residence in Brockway Township at 2:30 p.m. 
 Wednesday.
 
 Rev. L.W.Bishop, a retired Methodist minister, will officiate. Burial 
 will be in Elmwood Cemetery.20
 
 He is survived by his daugher, Mrs. Meharg, two brothers, James 
 Middleton, Yale, and Doughty Middleton, Port Huron, a sister, mrs. James 
 Thompson, Yale, seven grand children, 13 great grand children and one 
 great great grand child.
