These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by other organizations. ___________________________________________________________________ Robert Reid one of the oldest pioneers of this section of the country, died at his home a few miles south-west of Yale, on Wednesday June 5, 1912, at the advanced age of 90 years. Nearly the whole of his long life has been spent on farms in this vicinity and he was a man well known and liked for his sterling qualities. He had been married three times, and parted by death from each help mate. He was the father of nine children, only one daughter, Mrs. Edwin DeBarr of Oklahoma, surviving him. Funeral services were held from Bethel church in Lynn, with Rev. W. H. Cole officiating. Interment was made in Lynn Cemetery ____________________________________________________________ This one is St. Clair County Mrs. Robert Reid was born in Canada, in April 1830. She was married three times, her third husband Robert Reid, to whom she was wedded 32 years ago, surviving her, with one daughter Mrs. Frank McGregory. Most of the life of deceased was spent in this vicinity and she was well known, respected and liked by all. Her death occured on Monday, April 15, at her home 4 1/2 miles south and west of Yale, and funeral services were held on Thursday at the Cole church, Rev. Cole officiating. Interment was made in Elmwood Cemetery. dz
