Mrs. Carl Summers

Capac - Mrs. Velma Lewthwaite Summers, 55, died Monday at Mercy Hospital, Port
Huron, after a short illness.  She was the wife of Carl Summers.
	Mrs. Summers was born March 29, 1903 in Port Huron.  She lived at 14993 Gould
road, Allenton, since 1934.
	Prior to that the Summers lived in Port Huron.  She and Mr. Summers were
married Sept. 9, 1925.
	Mrs. Summers was a member of West Berlin Methodist church and the Wesleyan
Service Guild.
	Mrs. Summers is survived by her husband, a son, Rev. Verne Summers, Beaverton;
two daughters, Mrs. June Klein and Mrs. Janet Haase, both of Allenton; two
sisters, Miss Jessie Lewthwaite, Port Huron, and Mrs. Florence Warner, Port
Huron; her father, James Lewthwaite, Port Huron; three brothers, William, James
and Theodore, all of Port Huron.
	Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Barnard funeral home with
Rev. Ellis L. Fenton, pastor of Croswell Methodist church, officiating.  Burial
will be in Rosehill Cemetery.
