A Civil War soldier,died May 23, 1865  Aged 30 yrs 12 days
son of J & E Bryce 
His death was caused by starvation in one the southern prisons
Alas we scarce had wecomed him
Before we saw him die
With death's pale sent down his ?
He but came home to die.
