The Stewart and McQueen families came from Comrie, Perthshire, Scotland in 1764 to Salem, Washington County, New York. Around 1800, Daniel McQueen Sr. moved from Salem to Camillus, Onondaga County, New York. Finally, around 1820 he moved his family to Harsen's Island, St. Clair County, Michigan.
