INSANE HOBO
Captured by a Sheriff's Posse in Berrien County
St. Joseph, Mich., July 2 - The sheriff's posse succeeded yesterday in 
capturing Fred Koch, an insane hobo, who has for several days terrorized the 
farmers' wives would of this city.  He has been sought for by the sheriff for 
a month.  He came here from Kansas to pick berries and was driven insane by 
the excessive heat.  He has remained hidden, and was only captured after a 
running fight though the woods.  He is very vicious and dangerous.

This makes the sixth insane person within a month captured by the sheriff 
within a radius of 12 miles from this city.  The supervisors have ordered a 
padded cell to be built in the jail to accommodate the large increase of 
violent persons.
