The drifting sands and the ever changing current have either covered up the body, or carried it over the bar formed in the channel below the sunken tug, Sweet Bros. In a conversation with Sheriff Johnson, the official expressed the opinion that the body would probably never be recovered, and that further search was practially useless. Loath to give up the quest and impelled by the desire to recover the remains, and turn the body over to the distracted mother, Sheriff Johnson and Captain Stevens have used every available means to accomplish success in their efforts, but they were forced to give up the task. With the passing of Lizzie Magilewsky, a young life whose ambition encouraged her to do things, and whose attractive appearance probably led her downfall, there is crowded into the seventeen years of her short life, a history, especially in the past two years, of sorrow, brooding and care. Her career was one of disapointment and her suicide an example of the follies of a wayward live.
