Mrs. James Herndon
Eva Antoinette Morse Herndon was the widow of James Herndon. She died at the 
home of her daughter, Mrs. Jerome Hassinger, in Constantine, early Tuesday 
morning.
The deceased was born November 8, 1850, the daughter of James and Jane Ash,  
having lived practically her entire life in St. Joseph County. On December 25, 
1867, she married William Wallace Morse, who preceded her in death February 
15, 1907.
On February 20, 1912, she married James Herndon. He passed away November 28, 
1920.
Mrs. Herndon is survived by one son, James L. Morse of Constantine; two 
daughters, Mrs. Hassinger, and Mrs. Irvin Youngman of Three Rivers; fifteen 
grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday from the Haring Funeral Home in Three 
Rivers, at 2 p.m. in charge of Rev. Courtland Miller of Constantine.
