JOSEPH, MI Thursday, Jan 28, 1909 BERRIEN CENTRE Mary Abbott Dare Toney, relict of the late Aaron Toney, died at her home in Dowagiac, Jan. 22, 1909. Funeral and interment at the South Berrien Centre church Sunday last at 2 o'clock p.m. Deceased was born in Salem, N.J., in 1843, and reared two families of children, eleven in all. Six of the Dare children and five of the Toney children. Nine of this large family are living, eight of them being present at the funeral, all feeling keenly the loss of a cheerful, kind and loving mother. The funeral was largely attended by the many friends of the family in this vicinity. The pall bearers were: Jacob Bremier, George Armstrong, Erastus Murphy, J.J. Murphy, S.L. Snavely and John L. Bishop. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Beach of Pokagon were here Sunday to attend the funeral of Mrs. Toney.
