MONTAGUE came to Centerville, Tuscola County, in 1862. In 1874 he run a stage line to Vassar in connection with one that run to East Saginaw. In 1876, in company with M. Curry, kept the Jewell House at Vassar. In 1877 came to Caro and kept a livery stable for about a year, which he traded off for a farm. May 27, 1879, he bought out C. R. Richardson's boot and shoe store, and is now (1883) engaged in that line of business. Is married and has one child.
