In April, 1874, he arrived in the United States, sojourning at first at Syracuse, New York, and engaged in selling goods on the road. He remained there until 1876, when he went to Bay City, Michigan, selling goods from that point until 1877, when he came to Caro and opened a dry-goods and gents' furnishing store. In 1878 he sold out his dry-goods business to his brother, Meyer Himelhoch, and put in a stock of clothing, taking in as a partner William B. Lewenberg. Mr. Himelhoch is a young married man.
