She was born in Canada near Niagara and came to Michigan about 26 years ago. She has been almost blind for some time and death to her was a welcome guest. Her husband died six years ago and since that time she has lived with her daughters, Mrs. John Dorling (sic) and Mrs. John Jeffery. The funeral was at the home of Mrs. Jeffery's where she was at the time of her death. Rev. Desjardin officating." ============ TUSCOLA COUNTY ADVERTISER, Thursday, 22 June 1893, pg. 3: "Iley Ostrander, one of the oldest residents of this town (i.e., Wilmot), died on Sunday night, and was buried Tuesday. He was much respected farmer. Mrs. J. G. Jeffery and Mrs. J. Dorland were his daughters." ============ dz
