Melvin Elias Gibbs (July 19, 1898 - June 28, 1973) was the youngest son of 
Elias S. and Mary E. (Peck) Gibbs.  Melvin's first wife was Violet Mary 
Freeman (May 1897 - August 14, 1931), daughter of Peter and Agnes Freeman.    
After Violet's death Melvin married Ernestine M. Brock (September 24, 1922 - 
January 21, 1996), daughter of Ray F. and Maggie (Guilds) Brock.  Melvin and 
his first wife Violet had four children, and Melvin and his second wife 
Ernestine had seven children.
