Coleman (December 29, 1870 – October 4, 1945) and his second wife Katherine “Kate” (Murphy) Coleman (February 1, 1872 – May 31, 1948). George was the son of Horace and Ann (Van Wormer) Coleman, and Kate was the daughter of Daniel W. and Margaret (Toomey) Murphy. George and Katherine had no children. Both George and Katherine were married and divorced previously. George’s first wife was Ada Louise Slafter, daughter of Alonzo and Mary (Lambard) Slafter, originally of Vermont. George and Ada had two daughters, Pearl and Mildred Coleman. Katherine’s first husband was Samuel Larrabee, son of Luman Larrabee and his first wife Margaret (Flack) Larrabee. Katherine and Samuel had two children: Margaret Marie Larrabee, who married Clark White Osgerby; and Cecil T. Osgerby, who died at the age of eighteen. Katherine’s first husband Samuel Larrabee and their son Cecil are buried in Riverside Cemetery, Vassar, Michigan. Also buried on the Coleman lot in the Indianfields Township Cemetery are Katherine’s daughter Margaret (Larrabee) Osgerby and her husband Clark White Osgerby.
