Melvin Jones (November 28, 1858 – October 5, 1939) and his wife Sarah 
(Culbert) Jones (April 16, 1859 – January 27, 1935).  Melvin was the son of 
Ephraim Ayers and Evelina (Myrick/Merrick) Jones, and Sarah was the daughter 
of Thomas and Emeline (Sutton) Culbert.  Both Melvin and Sarah were born in 
Ontario, where they married in 1880.   Melvin and Sarah had four children:  
Estella, whose first husband was Harry P. George and second husband was Bruce 
L. Pattison; Julia “Voila”, who married Charles A. Gibbs; Elmer A., who 
married Rosa Humm; and Arnott N., whose first wife was Florence Berryman and 
second wife was Ruth Kuck.
