Rollin deWolf Chappell (June 4, 1856 – May 1944) and his wife Alta A. 
(Ducolon) Chappell (1865 – 1940).  Rollin was the son of Chauncey Clinton 
Chappell and Eleanor C. (de Wolf) Chappell, and Alta was the daughter of 
Richard and Almira (Palmer) Ducolon.  Rollin and Alta had three children:  May 
Belle, who never married; Lucile Almira, who married Alta “Altie” E. Larrabee, 
and another child who died young.

May Belle Chappell (May 17, 1886 – 1967) is buried with her parents. Also 
buried on this lot in Block B, Sec 8 of Riverside Cemetery are Rollin and Alta 
Chappell’s daughter Lucile A. (Chappell) Larrabee and her husband Altie E. 
Larrabee.  One side of the headstone is inscribed with the names and years of 
birth and death for Rollin, Alta, and their daughter May Belle; the other side 
is inscribed with the names and years of birth and death for Rollin and Alta 
Chappell’s daughter Lucile and her husband Altie E. Larrabee.
