David was the son of Joseph Enos and Lucy (McMullen) Enos, and Emma was the daughter of John Patrick, Jr. and Mary (Jaynes) Patrick. David and Emma had four children: Maud, John Patrick, Leander A. “Lee”, and an infant who died shortly after birth and was buried with Emma. After Emma’s death David married Emma “Anna” Gerstein (December 18, 1864 – October 11, 1948), daughter of Dietrich Sigismund Gerstein and Carolina Hoberg (Huss) Gerstein. David and Anna had one child, George Enos. Anna is buried with her parents in Block I, Sec 63 of Riverside Cemetery. Aside from the Enos monument on this lot, there are grave markers for David and Emma inscribed with the words “FATHER” and “MOTHER”. Also buried here are Lee and Ruby (Osgerby) Enos, who share a marker. Note: The death record for Sarah Emma Enos shows her date of death as April 22, 1895.
