L. BELLE
1855 – 1926.

Lois Isabella “Belle” (Slafter) Osgerby (August 10, 1855 – December 11, 1926) 
was the daughter of Adoniram J. “Judson” and Fannie (Rogers) Tice Slafter.  
Belle married John Joseph Osgerby (April 3, 1854 – December 1908), a son of 
John Thomas Osgerby and his second wife Elizabeth H. “Betsy” (Gaunt) 
Osgerby.   John and Belle had five children:  Joseph Slafter Osgerby, who 
never married; Lena May Osgerby, who married Glen O. Baker; Harry G. Osgerby, 
who died at the age of nine months; Clark White Osgerby, who married Margaret 
Marie Larrabee; and Clare Osgerby, who died when less than a year old.
