Tuscola County

I do hereby certify that on the twenty fifth day of December instant at the house 
of Henry DeCow in the Village of Vassar, Henry F. Allen of said village and Augusta 
DeCow of the same place, were with their mutual consent lawfully joined together in 
Holy Matrimony, which was solemnized by me in the presence of James E. North & Emily Black 
of the place aforesaid, and I do further certify that the said Henry F. Allen & Augusta 
DeCow are known to me to be the persons described in this certificate and that I 
ascertained previous to the solemnization of the said Marriage that the said parties 
were of sufficient age to contract the same, and that after due inquiry by me made, 
there appeared no lawful impediment to such marriage.

Given under my hand this 26th day of Dec. AD 1861.
