This certifies that Orville Otis, of Fairgrove, County of Tuscola, State of Michigan, being 
about 32 years of age and Sophronia Davis of Denmark, County of Tuscola, State of Michigan, 
being about 20 years of age were united in Matrimony on the twelfth day of July AD 1863 at 
the house of Philip Davis in the Township of Denmark agreeably to the Laws of the State of 
Michigan, in the presence of the subscribing witnesses and by the undersigned officiating Justice.

I do hereby certify that on the third day of July in the year of our Lord One Thousand 
Eight-Hundred and Sixty Three, at the house of Daniel Kenyon in the Township of Juniata, 
William J. Barnes aged eighteen years and Sarah A. Belmer aged eighteen years, both of 
Juniatta, late of the Township of Indianfields, and to me personally known to be the persons 
described in this certificate was by me joined together by their mutual consent in the bonds 
of Wedlock, and I first ascertained that the said parties were of sufficient age to consent to the same.
