I do hereby certify that on the eleventh day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand 
eight hundred and sixty three, at the house of A. C. Pierce in said town and County and State 
above written, Robert C. Brown of said Town and Mary A. Clark of the same place, to me 
personally known to be the persons described in this certificate were by me joined together 
with their mutual consent in the Bonds of Wedlock, and I did first ascertain that the said 
parties were of sufficent age to consent to the same; which marriage took place in the 
presence of Wm. Y. Phillips and Georgania Hellan Pierce subscribing witnesses thereto.

Witness my hand and seal this tenth day of October one thousand eight hundred and sixty three.

State of Michigan, and Miss Emily J. Black aged 23 years, of Tuscola, Tuscola County, and 
State of Michigan were by me joined in Matrimony according to the Laws of the State of 
Michigan, on the fifteenth day of October one thousand eight hundred and sixty three at Tuscola.
