and State of Michigan, and Miss Sarah E. Loss, aged 17 years, of Vassar, Tuscola County, 
and State of Michigan, were by me joined in matrimony, According to the laws of the State 
of Michigan, on the twenty third day of December, one thousand eight hundred and sixty three at Vassar.
