This is to certify that Michael Buchanan aged 55 years, of the township of Gilford, County of 
Tuscola, and State of Michigan, and Sophronia A. Surdom aged 30 years of the township of Fairgrove 
Tuscola County, and State of Michigan, were by me joined in matrimony according to the laws of the 
State of Michigan on the fifth day of June one thousand eight hundred and sixty four, in the township 
of Fairgrove.  In the presence of James E. Lue & Josiah Higby.

years of Wahjamega in the State of Michigan, and Mary E. Jennings aged 20 years of Denmark in the 
State of Michigan on the 24th day of July 1864 at the house of Mr. Jennings in Denmark by me.
