This certifies that Peter Hodgkins of Vassar, Tuscola County, State of Michigan, being about 
37 years of age and Sarah Pennell of the same place being about 25 years of age, were united 
in matrimony on the eighth day of April AD 1865 in Vassar, Tuscola County, Michigan at the 
house of the said Sarah Pennell agreeable to the laws of the State of Michigan, in the presence 
of the subscribing witnesses and by the undersigned officiating Justice of the Peace.
