State of Michigan, Tuscola County.  I certify that on the 30th day of September AD 1865 
at Watertown in the County aforesaid I joined in marriage George W. Chaplin of Deerfield, 
Lapeer County, State of Michigan aged 30 years and Betsy L. Post of Deerfield, Lapeer County 
and State of Michigan aged 27 years; that the parties did then and there solemnly declare 
that they took each other as Husband and Wife; and that there were present as witnesses 
H.S. Chaplin of Watertown and Rebecca Chaplin of Watertown.  Dated at Watertown this 22nd 
day of December AD one thousand eight hundred and sixty five.

thousand eight hundred and sixty five, Lewis B. Perkins aged 27 of the town of Fairgrove, 
Tuscola Co., Michigan, and Harriet A. Hamilton aged 16 of the town of Juniata, Tuscola County, 
Michigan, were, by me, united in matrimony according to the Ordinance of God and the laws of 
the State of Michigan.
