This is to certify that George P. Griswold aged 28 years of Gilford, Tuscola County and 
State of Michigan and Zilpha M. French aged 18 years of Gilford, Tuscola County and State 
of Michigan, were by me joined in matrimony according to the laws of the State of Michigan 
on the seventh day of January one thousand eight hundred and sixty six at the house of P. French.

I do hereby certify that on the twenty first day of April one thousand eight hundred 
and sixty six at the house of Uriah Houer in said township, county, and state above written, 
Jacob Woodman of said township and Rhoda Courtright of the same place, to me personally known 
to be the persons described in this certificate were by me joined together by their mutual 
consent in the bonds of wedlock and I did first ascertain that the said parties were of 
sufficient age to consent to the same which marriage book place in the presence of Uriah Houer 
and Grace Ann Houer subscribing witnesses hereto.

Witness my hand and seal this twenty first day of April one thousand eight hundred & sixty six.  
Marriage celebrated in the presence of Uriah Houer & Grace Ann Houer.
