Canby Herald June 7,1928
Former Canby Man Died At Holly,Mich.
M.E.Scramlin,who left Canby last July to make his home with his son at 
Holly,Michigan,died at that place Tuesday,May 20,according to a telegram 
received by his brother Geo.Scramlin of Macksberg Thursday morning.
Mr.Scramlin was well known in this vicinity,having lived here with his brother 
on the farm in Macksberg.He was born October1850.Blood poison is said to have 
been the immediate cause of his death.Some time ago he injured his left 
foot.Later it was found necessary to remove the member,but this di not seem to 
improve his condition and he finally passed away.
