Mrs. Burke Bowes
Bellevue-Mrs. Ada M. Bowes, 87, widow of Burke Bowes, died at 7 a.m. Tuesday at 
St. Joseph Hospital in Ann Arbor. She was born March 22, 1872 in Lenawee County, 
the daughter of Garrison and Betsy Ann (Kelley) Moore, and was married in 1903 in 
Assyria. Her husband died in 1952. Mr. and Mrs. Bowes came to Bellevue from 
Portland in 1945 and went to Ann Arbor in 1951. She made her home in Ann Arbor 
with her daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Thelma) Pryor.  Also surviving are a twin sister, 
Mrs. Milton Hartom of Bellevue; two brothers, Roy E. of Marshall and L.G. of 
Peoria, Ill., two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
