She was 68. Mrs. Geffen was born in Berlin, and survived World War II by living under a false identity. Her parents were killed by the Nazis in Auschwitz, in German-occupied Poland in 1942. The Ann Arbor homemaker frequently spoke to local school groups about her youth. She immigrated to the United States in 1946 and later moved to Ann Arbor, where she married Larry Geffen in 1955. She was an art, music and theater patron in Detroit and Ann Arbor. Mrs. Geffen was a life member of Ann Arbor Hadassah, a past-president of Beth Israel Sisterhood and a member of Ann Arbor Organization for Rehabilitation Training. She worked for many years as the bookkeeper of Beth Israel Congregation in Ann Arbor. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Geffen is survived by a daughter, Audrey J. Geffen; a son, Bruce M.; and two granddaughters. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. today at Beth Israel Congregation, 2000 Washtenaw, Ann Arbor. Interment will be in Arborcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, Ann Arbor. Funeral arrangements were by Ira Kaufman Chapel, 18325 W. Nine Mile, Southfield.
