McDaid Percy A. McDaid, a former resident here, died suddenly early Wednesday, May 18, in a Flint hospital following a period of ill health. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon and interment took place in Oak Grove cemetery here, with Rev. W.H. Skentelbury officiation at the graveside service. Mr. McDaid was born in North Star township, May 28, 1889, a son of Joseph T. and Alice Cunningham McDaid. He came to Chelsea with his mother and other members of his family following the death of his father and his mother's marriage to Adelbert Baldwin. His wife, the former Pearl Stimer, of Jackson, died after the family moved to Flint. They had lived in Chelsea for a number of years following their marriage, and resided in Jackson for a short time before going to Flint. Mr. McDaid is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Viola Biga and Mrs. Ruby Eagleson, both of FLint, one sister, Mrs. Vivian Baldwin, of Chelsea, ten grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. dz
